Vidyapith's Mandir
The Mandir (or Bhajan hall) is the heart of Vidyapith. Almost
every person of Vidyapith comes here atleast once a day. Every
senior student (class7-10) has to come here for prayers every
morning and night.
Written on the entrance of the mandir are these words.
The students come here sharp in the morning and start chanting
vedic hymns as well as commonplace Bengali holy
songs. After two songs, a sanskrit sloka, known as pranam mantra
is chanted. Next, everything goes silent and each and every boy
makes his prayers to the Lord. In fresh mind they ask for the
Holy Lord to prevail over their mind throughout the long day.
After this a short paragraph is readout by one of the students
from a holy book. The students, filled with Sri Ramakrishna's
grace get out of the Bhajanhall one by one and starts their daily
routine. Throughout the day as soon as anybody gets a bit leisure
period; he comes to the mandir. Even if anyone feels mentally
weak or disgusted he returns to the Mandir. And truly every
honest prayer is answered by the lord himself. This is the reason
why everybody gets peace of mind in this holy abode.
As the day passes by every student again assembles in the
Bhajan hall. This time they are clad in Dhoti and Punjabi. They
pray for their selfish acts if done during the day to be pardoned
by the Lord and they repent as well as they ask for their peace
of mind and soul so that they can be devoted to truthfulness and
sincerity for the next day. And as the world is gradually
immersed in darkness the boys go on chanting and thus creating an
enchanted environment which spreads slowly and gradually through
the darkness ""
